Want to know where your food comes from? Our top-quality beef is raised on our 5th generation family farm in central Illinois. We grow steers on our farm to produce outstanding quality meat for you! Our beef products are available to you with online ordering and pick-up at our farm store, The Mercantile.
We Raise Excellent Quality Beef
Our Practices
Our cows live on green pastures! We bale our own grass alfalfa hay in big round bales. This is the staple of their year-round diet. We make hay when the sunshines! Their feed ration consists mostly of NON-GMO ground ear corn combined with a couple bags of dry molasses. Just like a spoonful of sugar on your cereal to sweeten the mix! The herd is fed no hormones or additives.
